I’m officially stepping away from my usual skinnies and swapping them for flare jeans! I am completely obsessed with these jeans for eh mere fact that they make you legs look so long and slim; it’s unbelievable. There are so many ways to go along with the 1970’s trend that is so popular as of now. Flare jeans are now one of my favorite silhouette’s of the 70 era, along with bell sleeve dresses and ankle boots. It’s so fun partaking in style trends because you get to see everyone’s personalized interpretation. The 70’s style trend has such a wide range that everyone can find something that speaks to them, whether that’s Twiggy style mod or Janis Joplin rocker. I like the idea of people from all around the world partaking in a collective action and that is one reason that the fashion industry is so unique.
The Iris and Ink leather parka, which is an exclusive line from Theoutnet.com, is also a new favorite. A modern take on classic silhouette, this oversized parka is butter-soft and perfect for a cloudy day. I like parkas because the length makes it such a versatile layering piece good for mini skirts, dresses, and obviously flare jeans. I also like it because it’s warm enough for winter but light enough for a nice spring day.
This is the perfect outfit to take from day to night. I wore this outfit to brunch and also to an event later on in the evening. Instead of the flare jeans and leather parka, you can swap the parka for a blazer for a much more clean look.
The choker trend is dominating Instagram and I am totally guilty of falling victim to it. I am wearing the Lilou choker from Rumi Neely’s line. I must say it was way overpriced but i do love it.
