Maxi dresses are something that I’ve always loved but can’t seem to find one that complements me without cutting me in half — not good for someone who wishes they were 3 feet taller. However, sometimes great things come in full length and this maxi dress is merely perfection. I love the print throughout, the high slit at side and the drawstring at waist.
When I came across Osei Duro brand, based in both Los Angeles and Ghana, I suddenly fell in love with every piece from all of their seasonal collections. I’ve always being a fan of prints. Being African, I always like to honor my roots through the expression of my clothes. Living in NYC is vastly different from living in Africa and the fashion styles couldn’t be less similar. Thanks to Osei Duro, I can pay homage to my homeland while still staying within American culture and fashion. Hand dyed and sewn in Ghana, this dress exemplifies the extraordinary talent of African artisans.
I wore this dress during my recent trip to Miami and it was perfect for a day at Soho Beach House. Available in multiple colors, we both know you’d like to slip into this gorgeous silk maxi dress. Head over to the site and also shop their new collection. You can follow their feed on Instagram as well.
