Mixing Prints

Dare to mix prints? I’ve aways been a fan of prints and I do believe that my culture comes into play in influencing my love for prints. African fabrics comes in a variety of prints and patterns whether it is batik, wax or kente. I love mixing prints, but you have to get it right or else it ends up being a fail. On this beautiful summer day, I decided to go bold with my Topshop bodycon printed skirt, and paired it with a Club Monaco top to add some funk. This outfit was everything in the book of fun. It was catchy, bold, and definitely had a lot of edge. Of course I has to throw on my everyday summer pieces that I am currently obsessed with — my ebay leather cap, and  my most prized Celine luggage… and who doesn’t love chuck taylors, comfort at its best! I went bikini shopping with my girl Carrol from Carolosiphy whom I had a great time catching up with. What rules do you follow when it comes to mixing prints? Leave some comments below and let me know 😉
