Fitness is a huge part of our daily life. There’s nothing like a good sweat early in the morning to kick off the day. We’ve been working on starting a fitness segment on the blog, and finally we’ve come around to it due to constant emails and questions regarding our workout routine and what we do to stay fit. First and most importantly, eating healthy is key. All your hard work goes in vain if you work out yet neglect to pay attention to what goes into your body. Working out and eating healthy are a married couple, they go hand in hand.
We have a gym membership with New York Sports club which I must say, is totally worth it. We workout consistently about 4-5 times a week, mainly to maintain and most importantly, because it makes us feel good. We switch between classes such as bootcamp, total body conditioning, cardio kickboxing, zumba, pilates and cycling.
We utilize apps such as MyFitnessPal which counts your calorie intake. Another favorite of ours, is an app called Moves, which counts every step you take walking, and lets you know how much calories you’ve burned. For those who don’t have the time or option for a gym membership, the NikeTraingClub, LoloBootcamp and FitStar are great options for staying in shape right in the comfort of your home.
There should be no excuse to not being able to dedicate an hour of your day to taking care of what’s most important, your well being. Think about how fast an hour goes by when you’re prancing around the house doing nothing, that hour could be put into good use! It’s time to take control and GET FIT!
