DIRECTIONS: Throw all ingredients into blender / nutibullet, add ice and blend.

It’s no secret that I am just as much a food fanatic as a clothes horse. The Daily Start section of this blog will share the best breakfast meals and brunch indulgences…why? Because if I could be any meal, it would be breakfast! As a little girl, I remember not being able to survive without bread and butter and tea – I would have this every morning for breakfast and before going to bed. I crave breakfast meals anytime of the day.
I love to start my day with a healthy and satisfying breakfast. For me, that usually consists of a fruit platter (grapefruit, mango, plums, kiwi, banana, berries) or some eggs with vegetables. In addition, I try to wake up a bit earlier to give myself some time to prepare a smoothie. Investing in either Nutri Bullet (which is what I used to prepare the above smoothie here) or a Vitamix (which I plan on purchasing in the near future here) is definitely a plus. Spending money on a smoothie at health food spots can be very costly ($10 per smoothie) so having the right tools at home is essential.
